Dedication Mass

Friday, April 4, 2025,  6:00PM 

Archbishop José H. Gomez will preside over the dedication Mass for our newly constructed Church at 12305 Terra Bella St., Pacoima. He will be joined by the bishops of the Archdiocese, our current former pastors, and the people of faith of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. 

Friday’s ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM with our church community gathering outside the main doors of the new church. There, Archbishop Gomez will meet the builders, who will hand him drawings and keys to the new church.  Our Pastor, Rev. Luis Estrada, will then be invited to open the doors of the new church, after which the community will enter. The walls of the new church and the assembly will be anointed with holy water and incensed, and the walls will be sealed with holy oil, known as Sacred Chrism. Dedication candles will be lit symbolizing the light of Christ. Archbishop Gomez will place sacred relics, including one of Blessed Junípero Serra and one of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, for permanent inclusion at the base of the main altar.
